Just because you are too young to audition doesn’t mean you don’t have a chance to perform in our summer production of J. M. Barrie’s “Peter Pan”!
Aspiring actors ages five to seven are invited to rehearse during our final week of production. Mini performers will be given the opportunity to learn non-speaking yet still important roles and perform along side the “big kids”.
ABOUT THE SHOW
J.M. Barrie’s classic tells the story of Wendy, John and Michael Darling’s adventures in Neverland with the inimitable Peter Pan, “the boy who would not grow up.” In Neverland, the Darlings are introduced to the Lost Boys, Peter’s jealous fairy friend Tinker Bell, the infamous pirate Captain Hook, and the crocodile who swallowed Hook’s hand. The action escalates when the Darlings are captured by Hook and, with Peter’s help, escape, taking the Lost Boys home with them.
REHEARSALS
Rehearsals will be held at Harvest Raleigh Church from July 28th – August 1st, 10am – 2pm, Monday – Friday. Mini performers will work on scenes and work on their acting skills.
PERFORMANCES
We will be performing our production twice: Friday August 1st, and Saturday August 2nd, both at Harvest Raleigh Church.
COST
To make our production as accessible as possible, we ask for a donation of $125 per mini actor. We will offer partial and full scholarships for those with hardships and budget constraints for which a form will be made available. On the flip side of scholarships, we will be in need of sponsors from our community.
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
With almost 20 years of experience in the theater, dance and music, including owning her own performing arts school in California, Allison Fuhrer is passionate about sharing her love of the arts with others. Allison has experience working with all ages and all abilities, making her productions both inclusive and inviting. Outside of this production, Allison is a follower of Christ, wife and homeschooling mother of three.
